Lecture 4: ‘The challenge of delivering truly breakthrough products’ will be delivered by Ms Sylvie Franz, Chief Executive Officer of Adventus Technology Australia Ltd. She has over 20 years of clinical research and ophthalmic experience.
Professor Mark Willcox
Lecture 5: ‘Vision research and the fight against infection’ will be delivered by internationally renowned ocular inflammation and microbiology researcher, Professor Mark Willcox.

Lecture 6: ‘Perspectives on Basic Eye Research in China’, is to be presented by Professor Jian Ge, the director of Zhongshan Ophthalmic Centre.
Professor Gullapalli Rao
Lecture 7: ‘Vision 2020 and avoidable blindness’, will be given by eye health solutions entrepreneur Professor Gullapalli (Nag) Rao.
Professor Kevin Frick
Lecture 8: ‘Economic impact of refractive error’, will be delivered by internationally respected health economist, Professor Kevin Frick.
Professor Kovin Naidoo
Lecture 9: ‘Meeting the challenges of providing global eye care,’ is to be presented by international public health leader, Professor Kovin Naidoo.
Professor Hugh Taylor
Lecture 10: ‘Reaching the underserved: Aboriginal eye care’, will be given by Professor Hugh Taylor AC. Professor Taylor has been dedicated to ophthalmic research and teaching for over 30 years, with his current work focused on Aboriginal eye health and trachoma.
